Our Mission

SOUD’s mission is to support the sustainable development of Afghan society by strengthening skills, knowledge, and community capacities in key sectors including health, education, agriculture, environment, and social services. Through culturally sensitive, community-based programs, SOUD promotes well-being, social cohesion, and inclusive opportunities, with a particular focus on women, youth, and vulnerable populations to build long-term resilience.

Health

Promote physical and mental well-being through community health awareness, nutrition education, maternal and child healthcare, and psychosocial support

Education

Improve access to quality and inclusive education, especially for girls and underserved communities, through learning support and safe environments.

Social Services

Strengthen community-based support systems for vulnerable groups, including children, women, persons with disabilities, orphans, and widows.

Agriculture & Environment

Enhance food security and environmental sustainability through climate-smart agriculture, natural resource management, and water conservation.

Economic Empowerment

Increase economic resilience by providing vocational skills training, entrepreneurship development, and livelihood support focused on women and youth.

Humanitarian Support

Provide emergency and complementary assistance, including essential non-food items and shelter support for IDPs, returnees, and vulnerable populations.
